Day #24 - Parkour, anyone?

Theme
Parkour, anyone?

Description
Underwater basket-weaving, Pineberries, Guitar-Hero, Chocolate Bacon, Oriental Flower Arranging, Chicken & Waffles, Race Car Driving, Dee-Fried Twinkies, Bollywood Dancing, Hot Beef Sundae, Race-Car-Driving, Krispy Kreme Chicken Sandwich, Skeet-Shooting, Spam Curds, Yagli Gures (Turkish Oil Wrestling martial art), Fried Butter.... try something new!

To Do
Tackle your fear of the unknown by branching out... with relish!

Nourish Yourself
Learn a new kitchen skill or how to prepare a new dish.  Ever wanted to master the souffle? Or make your own sushi?

Get Up & Go!
Same goes with exercise -- has there ever been an activity you flirted with but just never committed to trying?  What about English Riding lessons, or Squash, or scuba diving?... I’m afraid Quidditch is not an option for most of us

Tools
A sense of adventure and willingness to learn.  Your local Parks & Rec department may have introductory classes into a variety of neat things, and at a very reasonable cost and time investment

Tip
A fun way to learn about new ideas and activities is to talk to people who are involved in them.  They were new at some point too!

Tweak
Find an unobtrusive new interest to incorporate into your overall lifestyle

Question
What is the number one thing you have always wanted to try or do? Is there something near the top of your list that you could embark on now?

Thought

Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.Louis E. Boone

"Try a thing you haven’t done three times. Once, to get over the fear of doing it. Twice, to learn how to do it. And a third time, to figure out whether you like it or not." Virgil Garnett Thomson

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes." Marcel Proust

"You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take." Wayne Gretzky
